After a slow start to the 2026 competition season, the band was delighted to take 6th place at the Scottish Championships held in Dumbarton in July. Following that, at the World Championships at Glasgow Green in mid-August the band were successful in securing a place in the grade 3B final. After a very decent run in the MSR leg, they finished just out of the prize list in 7th place, something they intend to rectify next season, which will also be the band’s 140th Anniversary.
